Where can we live while building a house?
Most families choose somewhere close to the site and to school and work, so the build is easy to supervise and routines stay intact. A Westprecinct residence is a full furnished home, in Sydney or Melbourne, for as long as the build takes.
How long does a build usually take?
As a general guide, a new house commonly takes around a year from approval to handover, and a knock-down rebuild is similar once demolition is included. Your builder's programme is the best guide. Stays are from three months in Sydney and 30 days in Melbourne, and can extend if the build runs over.
What if the build runs late?
It often does. Stays can extend, so tell us as soon as your handover date moves.
Can the whole family and our pets come?
Yes. Residences are full homes with room for the family, and pets are welcome by arrangement.
Can we store our furniture during the build?
Yes. Every residence is fully furnished, so your furniture can stay in storage until the new home is ready.
How is this different from renovation accommodation?
