Expat accommodation in Sydney
Moving to Sydney from overseas means a new role, a new city and, for many families, a new school, all at once. The temporary home you land in matters more than it seems. Westprecinct offers managed serviced residences across the harbour and inner west, fully furnished and presented to The Westprecinct Standard, so you can move straight in, feel at home from the first evening and find your permanent home without pressure. A residence prepared for you, not a home someone has stepped out of.
Live in the suburb before you commit. A few months in Balmain, Drummoyne or Barangaroo tells you more about the commute, the schools and the weekends than any listing can.
No furnishing from scratch. Furniture, kitchen, premium linen and a proper place to work are ready when you arrive, so your shipment can take as long as it takes.
Space for the whole household. Bedrooms to suit the household, a full kitchen and room to work, rather than a single hotel room for months.
One point of contact. One person to deal with from enquiry to departure, and itemised invoices if your employer is covering the stay.
Room to extend. Home searches and school starts rarely go exactly to plan. Tell us early and we will do our best to keep you where you are.
Tell us the school or school catchment you are aiming for, how many bedrooms you need and how the household will get to work, and we match a residence and suburb to suit. Many families use their first months to visit schools, try the commute and see a suburb on a weekday as well as a weekend before signing anything long-term.
Our Sydney residences sit in established harbourside and inner-west neighbourhoods, close to the city and to well-regarded schools: Barangaroo, on the harbour at the edge of the CBD; Balmain and Rozelle, with village streets, harbour parks and an easy ferry or bus into the city; Drummoyne, Cabarita and Breakfast Point, quiet waterfront living popular with families; and Rhodes and Wentworth Point, modern residences on the Parramatta River, convenient for Olympic Park, Macquarie Park and Parramatta.
Pets are part of the household. Across our Sydney residences, pets are considered on application. If your pet is arriving after you, tell us when you enquire and we plan the residence around their arrival.
Sydney stays begin from three months, and many expat households stay for six months or longer while they settle. Higher rates apply under 6 months. You can extend if your plans change, subject to availability.
Send us your arrival date, the suburb or school you would like to be near, the household (including any pets) and how long you expect to stay, through the enquiry form or by phone. We come back to you with suitable residences and a clear proposal.
